Online Tutoring
I am a qualified and experienced teacher and tutor with over 30 years teaching experience in various settings. I have extensive experience teaching online, delivering lessons to primary and secondary aged students. I have also successfully worked face-to-face with tutees, building up an excellent rapport with families and individuals long-term, making sure that communication, materials and delivery serve the learning goals and styles of each student. I have worked mainly with students with additional learning needs, but I am also comfortable working with mainstream students and adults. I would plan each lesson individually to ensure that learning objectives were met, using benchmark assessments to track progress. I am able to liase with outside bodies working with each student/client and with the schools concerned. The intial consultation would be free. Please contact me to find out more about how we can work together.

MAEd, BA(Hons), PG Conv. Cert. Psych., PGCE, Counselling Diploma BACP, PATOSS Assessment Practicing Certificate, Mindfulness teacher.

The initial interview
To start with, a questionnaire and an informal interview will allow background information to be shared in a confidential setting.

The Assessment
Covid19 means that most of the tests will be completed online using the Zoom platform. Those assessments that cannot be completed online will be completed safely at a later date, face-to-face, once circumstances allow. An interim report will be written outlining need in the meantime. This is acceptable by educational institutions. This will be updated once the full assessment is completed. The online assessment will take between two and three hours. The full assessment will take an extra one to two hours. The assessment report will be completed within two weeks.

The Report
Assessments can be carried out for primary aged children, pupils who need assessment arrangements clarified, for work purposes or any other general client group.
The Report is approximately 5000 words long. It offers a clear explanation of the tests undertaken and the results, in an easily accessible format. It also offers recommendations.

Testimonials

Anna is a highly competent assessor. Her reports are through and well presented. I can highly recommend her to you."
Dr Gavin Reid
Anna conducted an assessment on our nine year old son. The assessment itself was a positive experience for our son. The report was written within a week and was clear and well presented. We only received a screening assessment from the school, so this assessment allowed us to understand what our son needed so that school and ourselves could provide the best support.
Parent
Anna assessed me before I started university. The assessment itself was fine - quite interesting. The report showed my strengths and weaknesses and helped me to better understand how I learn. It also allowed me to be allocated resources.
